The magnificent tower is made from Bath stone which creates beautiful warm colours when illuminated by the sun and was designed by James Wyatt in 1801. Modelled on the Temple of Bramante in Rome which was designed by Donato Bramante and built between 1502 and 1509 it certainly has an Italian vibe about it.
Purchased in 2009 by the National Trust after funding by way of a grant by Natural England the Panorama Tower was restored to its original beauty. Within the tower there is a 360 degree spiral staircase which leads to a viewing platform with wonderful panoramic views across to Malvern Hills, Worcester and the Croome Estate.
