The beautiful Sgwd Gwladys Waterfall in the heart of the Brecon Beacons in Wales, also known as Lady’s Falls. This is where the rivers Nedd Fechan and Pyrddin meet and the water plummets 10 meters over the fall into the river below. I used a long exposure for this photograph to capture the swirl of the bubbles in the pool below caused by the falling water.
It was mid Autumn when I took this and the whole valley was just awash with beautiful autumnal colours. Sgwd Gwladys is one of the easier falls to get to in the Brecon Beacons waterfall country with a good and well maintained path all the way to the base of the falls. It really is a stunning walk during autumn where you pass Farewell Rock which is a band of thick sandstone as you follow the river through beautiful old trees especially when in full colour.
I would highly recommend a visit to this stunning area especially in autumn when it is truly magical.
