Not exactly the shot I had planned for the ‘Blood Moon’ lunar eclipse as I totally miss calculated the moons position and it was too low in the sky for the shot I had planned. I felt like a right plum!⠀

After frantically driving round to find a nice composition the clouds rolled in and the moon vanished. I was determined to get something and just after midnight the clouds parted for just long enough to allow me to capture this image. Not exactly what I had in mind and the eclipse had pretty much finished but I think I did manage to get something rather unique and beautiful. This was shot at a 500mm focal length so I could capture the illumination of the clouds from the Blood Moon.
