Trying to find sense and order amongst the chaos of forest woodland is always a challenge and this photograph was one that I wrestled with for a good hour trying to get balance within the image.
Aptly titled “Encapturing Chaos” I was immediately struck by the side lighting of the trees and the Autumn yellow colours within the scene. I used the bright mossy trees to frame the autumnal colour on the other side of the river with the tendril branches reaching across to touch it.
This image really was a challenge to photograph due to the very high dynamic range and just pure chaos within the scene. The image was take at the Brecon Beacon in South Wales during a magical days photography in Waterfall Country.
