Located in the mountain pass between the Croesor and Cwmorthin valleys lies Rhosydd Quarry which ceased operation in 1930. Scattered around the valley the ghosts of a distant past can be felt where derelict buildings remain isolated and open to the harsh elements which were once home to quarry men.
An absolutely amazing place especially during misty conditions where the eery feel really makes the hairs stand up on the back of your neck.
